President: Antonio Gonnella

Tony Gonnella is originally from Bari-Italy but he considers Chicago his true home. Tony graduated with an undergraduate degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a MBA in Finance and Management from UIC. 
Tony lived in Canaryville and Bronzeville before buying his first condo unit in University Village. He got involved in the UV community right away by joining the Viaduct Committee (chicagoviaduct.com) and by joining the University Village Lofts' board of directors. He is very passionate about the community, and his ultimate goal is to help University Village become the most welcoming, safest, and family friendly neighborhood in Chicago.

VP of Communications: Erin Wieland

Erin Wieland was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, but she now consider Chicago her home. Erin graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Horticulture from Iowa State University. She has worked for the Chicago Park District, the Art Institute of Chicago gardens, an award-winning landscape architecture, urban design, and architecture firm, as well as numerous garden centers throughout Chicago. She also is a Illinois master gardener. Currently, she spends her time being a full-time stay-at-home mom to three children.
Erin has lived in University Village for 10 years now, during that time she has worked on multiple social committee's, landscape committee, townhouse committee, the Mural on Morgan, and most recently, University Village Neighborhood Alliance.

VP of Events: Cory Tanzer

Cory Tanzer was born and raised in the western Suburbs. Cory went to Elmhurst college and double majored while there. Graduating in Three years Cory received a degree in marketing & a degree in management. He also earned a minor in International business. While going in school Cory was already in a leadership position with Target Stores. After Graduation Cory went onto manage Target Stores and eventually became a District Manager over operations and Safety.
After spending ten years at Target Cory made the decision to switch careers and successful joined a new field. Currently Cory owns his Own Company which specializes in the complex Chicagoland real estate market. Cory has a background of non for profit volunteering and served for over a decade on the board of Corazon Community Services. Cory has always had a sense of volunteering and some of his earliest child hood memory's are volunteering during the holidays with his parents at local food banks.
Cory has been a resident of Chicago now for over ten years and has lived in University Commons for nearly a decade. Cory currently serves as Master board president of University Commons. He has also helped plan many events for the University Village Community including Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July parade and Halloween party for the kids. When Cory is not volunteering you can find him spending time with his wife Sara & their dog Storm.
